He began his professional career on KPMG in 1999, focusing on taxes and fiscal litigation, before that he worked in Prodecon, where he served as adjointed director general on heeding systemic problems and meetings with the tax authorities; later he functioned as an Audit administrator and as a Central Administrator of Planning and Programming of Hydrocarbons, to ultimately end up as Central Administrator of Planning and Programming of Large Taxpayers for Mexico's Internal Revenue Service (SAT).

He has over 20 years of experience as a legal and tax counselor, he got his bachelor's degree on accounting and law from UNAM, a Master’s degree on tax law from the Universidad Panamericana, and a specialized degree on hydrocarbons from ITAM, as well as various courses and graduates, such as his graduate on International Business & Management in Vancouver, on hydrocarbons in the Instituto Mexicano del Petróleo, and the Comisión Nacional de Hidrocarburos, as well as many others.
